Mind-Blowing Dessert ~ Bogota!

Criterion Restaurante, Bogota, Columbia

Watch and drool. Dessert at Criterion in Bogota, a gastronomic masterpiece. Brothers Jorge and Mark Rausch, chefs and brains behind the brilliance –attentive, warm, funny, genuinely deserved their honor as #19 of Latin America’s 50 Best Restaurants.  And the “Best Restaurant in Colombia,” per Ron Zacapa Rum.

Our lunch during Bogota’s Restaurant Week was this sumptuous tasting menu at Criterion:

(Above) Sweet Pea Soup with Onion and Cream Cappuccino

(Above) Lion Fish Tiradito with Guanabana Foam

(Above) Smoked Confit of Salmon with Yuca Charcoal – yes, it actually “smoked”

(Above) Truffled Scallop and Fresh Heart of Palm Au Gratin

(Above) Lobster Medallion with Seared Foie Gras and Braised Lentils

I love how they serve soup in a tea cup! And those truffled scallops look amazing! What a great trip, thanks for sharing.
