Bartolome is one of the youngest Galapagos. It displays a surreal and fascinating landscape of lava formations (a mere 120 years old), and signature Pinnacle Rock. Doesn’t it remind you of the Statue of Liberty scene in Planet of the Apes? Creatures witnessed just in this area included some beefy marine iguanas, a few penguins and elegant greater blue heron.
