Glazed-Lemon-Pound-CakeEarly in this blog’s life, I published my go-to recipes. I know their outcome, and I cook them often. But they have fallen deep, deep, deep into the archives after years of new posts. No! Don’t get lost, my little favs! Here are my 10 go-do recipes, which means they are my family’s “best.”

  1. Glazed Lemon Poundcake (photo) – I can make this in my sleep. It’s my signature Bake Sale item, as you can see. Always beautiful, always pucker-perfect;
  2. Thai Pasta with Chicken or Turkey – we scarf it down, and I fight for the leftovers;
  3. Funeral Soup – it has a story and is a pretty useful recipe;
  4. Marcella’s Fudge – don’t tell my sister, Janie, that I am pushing this one again;
  5. My Dad’s Beer Basted Brats – his process, Wisconsin influenced;
  6. Patti’s Noodle Bowl – nom nom nom;
  7. Red Beans and Sausage – when cupboards are seriously bare and the day is too busy, the crockpot makes this meal happen;
  8. Original, Classic Kahlua Pecan Pie – bring this on Thanksgiving and you will never make any other again;
  9. President Reagan’s Macaroni and Cheese – just a LITTLE different than the millions of recipes out there;
  10. Claro’s Italian Meatballs – your household needs meatballs. Lots of them. Make these.
